 CFN Fellowship Group

Causality Club, sponsored by the Center for Naturalism (CFN), is a local live (not virtual)  group for those interested in exploring naturalism and its implications.  The Boston area Causality Club (CC) meets for about 3 hours once or twice a month in an informal, congenial setting, and we follow a loose agenda for each gathering.  This includes greetings and introductions, opening remarks on naturalism, updates on CFN activities and networking, exchange of information on naturalism-related events, and a presentation/discussion on some aspect of naturalism.   We take a break for food, drink and conversation, and recently we've begun to incorporate music into the proceedings for aesthetic refreshment.  CC serves as an opportunity for fellowship with like-minded naturalists, and a supportive setting to develop naturalism as a personal resource and as the basis for social change. 

Causality Club membership is open to those who share our conviction that naturalism has merit as a science-based world view with positive personal, social, and even spiritual (we use the word advisedly) consequences. Those interested in joining are welcome to email CFN director Tom Clark.  Or, if you know a CC member, ask to be invited to a meeting.  Current CC members are always welcome to bring a friend, giving advance notice.

Those wanting to start a CC in their area are welcome to use the agendas and presentations posted here as models for meetings, adapting them as you wish.  Please be in touch if you'd like any further help. 

CC Agendas -  posted here are a few agendas to give a flavor of the meetings. 

CC Presentations - here are some presentations given at the Boston CC meetings.  These typically last 20 minutes and are followed by open discussion.

CC Meeting notes - notes of BCC meetings are posted in the files section at the CFN Fellowship Group.  If you can't read these, please be in touch. 

CFN Fellowship Group - a Yahoo group devoted to encouraging local, face to face communities of naturalists.  A community is now forming in the Richmond, VA area.
